Mountain bikers are loath to associate with anything that reeks of roadies but the Catlike Leaf Helmet is a road-inspired lid thats picking up popularity among the more trail-inclined and with good reason. This is the second year the Leafs been offered and it was so well received the first time around that Catlike in a rare display of good judgement decided to just let it be. That means the "new" Leaf has the same in-mold construction which marries the polycarbonate shell to the EPS impact foam to increase impact resistance and spread energy around the whole helmet instead of focusing it just on the crash area. It also sports Catlikes Low Nape Protection where the helmet extends farther down the back of head for additional protection in rearward falls. The Leaf keeps you cool too with 23 vents and a Dual Flow ventilation system that sucks air through the helmet to stop your head from overheating. For a perfect fit theres a Multi Positioning System eVo dial that lets you adjust the helmet both vertically and around your head. Catlike also included a removable visorretty standard nd an internal bug net behind the front vents--not at all standard--which youll dig if youve ever been stung by a bee that got trapped in your helmet.
