Enlighten your feet. Northwave built the Nirvana MTB Shoe as the ideal piece of footwear for hardcore trail riders who demand both efficiency and comfort. Taking cues from the race-proven Extreme Tech it tailors the formula for use off the race track with a slightly more forgiving carbon fiber sole and a beefed-up upper that built for abuse. The Nirvana is built on Northwave Speedlight 3D carbon fiber sole. It has a higher nylon content than the Ultralight sole found on the Extreme Tech shoe which adds a degree of flex and enhances comfort for long rides. In other words it perfect when you want the efficiency of a race shoe but you need a more forgiving setup for your trail rides. The trail-oriented focus of the Nirvana is reinforced when looking at the upper which is built from a blend of breathable microfiber and durable polyurethane. It augmented with Super Shield panels at the toe side and heel of the foot which adds significant durability against trailside debris. Foot retention is handled by two hook-and-loop straps at the forefoot which allows for fine tuning the fit over the course of a ride ssential if your feet start to swell. And the upper closure is Northwave SLW2 or second generation Speed Lace Winch. This click wheel provides added security to combat efficiency-robbing heel lift. The Performance Pro footbed uses a blend of supportive EVA and microfiber to cradle your feet throughout the duration of your ride. The Northwave Nirvana MTB Shoe is available in 18 sizes from 37 to 47 with half sizes between 39 and 46 and in the colors Black/fluo green and Black/white/red.
